Camilla Macciani (Siena 17/09/1994) is a young photographer. In April 2018 she earned her BA degree in Economic development, International cooperation and conflict management. She is interested in understanding the impact that socio-economic forces have on the life and subjectivity of human beings. She has a keen interest for migration related issues and human rights. The aim of her body of work is not only to give voice to those who are at the edges of society but also to explore the beauty human beings can express in the everyday life. She took part in different photographic educational activities, including a workshop held by Letizia Battaglia (Jesi, Sept. 2017) which resulted in the exhibition STAMIRA, exposed at ‘La Pinacoteca di Jesi’ (May 2018). In October 2016 she classified 3rd in the photo-contest ‘Fotografando la Musica’. In March 2016 she realized, together with the student union, an exhibition at the University of Florence to celebrate the National day in remembrance of the victims of Mafia.
